While ModernChristianity welcomes a diversity of opinions and perspectives on our mutual religion, we still seek to have a similar foundation upon which to write and discuss. It is our desire that ModernChristianity become a place where loving, intelligent dialogue is fostered and encouraged. In an effort to achieve this goal, we ask our contributors to acknowledge their belief in the following:

1. The Bible is the word of God, and as such is inspired.

2. The Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. The full deity, full humanity, virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, crucifixion, resurrection, and second coming of Christ.

4. Salvation of sinful humans by our faith and belief in the atoning blood of Christ spilled on our behalf as a free and undeserved gift of love and mercy.

5. God’s just wrath and condemnation on those sinners who are not under the saving blood of Christ through faith.

It is our hope that should any of our readers find themselves at disagreement with any of the above points, they would nonetheless find loving, intelligent, and welcoming dialogue within our pages. We belief there is ample Biblical support for holding to these five points, and would encourage independent study into the veracity of these claims.

We additionally find much value and worth in traditional Church statements of faith, such as the Apostles’ and Nicene creeds.
